Birchbox Unboxing – August 2014

Birchbox is a monthly subscription service that delivers trial sizes of beauty products right to your door. I’ve been subscribed for a year now and I’ve enjoyed trying all of the new beauty products that they’ve sent. It also comes in handy when you’re travelling to have these little goodies to take along with you.

Each month gives you different types of beauty products to try and the Birchbox website allows you to keep track of your boxes and allows you to purchase full size versions of the products you like. Each month’s box is geared towards a certain theme. This month’s theme is Ice Cream.

Birchbox

Shampoo and Conditioner Neil George– I always like trying new hair products and getting a shampoo and conditioner duo to try is a great thing for me. From what I can tell it smells very fresh and I’m excited to try it.

Birchbox-Open

Ageless Body Cream Harvey Prince – This brand is one I’ve been interested in for a while. I recently tried their Hello perfume which I expected to like but wasn’t really for me. This lotion smells very fruity and doesn’t feel very greasy.

Birchbox-Ice-CreamCool Lids Cream Eye Shadow Laura Geller – Birchbox just started doing this thing where you can choose one of the items in your box which I think is awesome. I chose this cream eyeshadow because I’ve never used a cream eyeshadow before and silver is a color I don’t have in my collection.

#BirchboxNugg face mask – This looks like something that would be great to try for a little face refreshing. It says it has flaxseed and peppermint oil so I am very curious about how it will make my skin feel.

My Birchbox

Overall, I’m excited to try these new products and I’m pretty impressed with what Birchbox offers.

Plus, can we just talk about pink tulle for a second? I love the way it photographs. (The last photo is from Birchbox’s website. They even photograph your box for you!)
